Finally by Wendy Mass

"Finally" is about a girl named Rory Swenson. When she was young and she wanted something, her parents would always tell her to wait until she's twelve years old. When the day of her 12th birthday arrives, many funny and unexpected things start to happen. I would recommend this book to 5th to 7th graders who love suprises.

How to Survive Middle School by Donna Gephart

David Greenberg wants to be a star. He posts funny videos on Youtube. But, he also has problems. He has an ex-best friend, and a runaway mom. Will his dream come true? This book doesn't really tell you how to survive middle school that much.

I recommend this book for middle school boys and girls.

A Long Way From Chicago by Richard Peck

This book is about a boy named Joey and his sister, Mary Alice. From 1929 to 1942, they go to Chicago to spend the summer with their Grandmother. Something funny and exciting happens every year, like seeing the sheriff in his underwear to scaring some boys with a dead mouse and a bottle with milk! I would recommend this book to 5th-7th graders who love adventures.

Are You There God? It's Me Margaret by Judy Blume

This book is about a 12-year-old girl who just moved to New Jersey with her parents. When she got there, she met a girl named Nancy, who invited her into a secret club with her two friend's Gretchen and Janie. They were all learning about getting older and changing. Although she misses her grandma so much, she's still having fun. This book is a sweet fiction book about changes in life. I would recommend this book to a girl who is going into middle school and who is 11 or 12.
