This book is exciting and adventurous. It's the story of a a mouse who falls in love with a princess and saves her from a rat. It still has that same fairy tale ending. Anyone who loves books about adventure would love this. I think any age would enjoy a story like this.

The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane by Kate DiCamillo
When a China rabbit is lost, he goes on a journey and meets many people along the way. Edward learns that when you have something, don't let it go by because you might not get it again. This is a great adventure and friendship story sure to be liked by ages 7 and up.

My Side of the Mountain by Jean Craighead George
This story is about a boy named Sam who wants to live in the woods. So he ran away from home and met a lot of new people. They helped him find the mountains. The positive part of the book is that it shows you how to live in the wild. I would recommend this book for 5th and 6th graders because this book is challenging for for ages 10-12.

The Sign of the Beaver by Elizabeth George Speare
Matt and his father built a log cabin in Maine's wilderness. His father leaves to get the rest of the family so Matt needs to hunt, fish, and gather berries by himself. One day, he sees a bee comb and wants honey. Foolishly he climbs up a tree and gets attacked by the bees and was saved by Indians. One of them is Attean, a boy who becomes Matt's good friend. Attean wants Matt to travel North with the tribe but Matt didn't choose to go. His father comes with the family later. I think 9th graders should read this book.
