Spencer Morgan and Dieter Hedrick are two young boys both fighting for their country. When Dieter is gunned down trying to attack the Americans, Spencer disobeys orders when everybody is asleep and goes to help Dieter. This is a truly wonderful book about World War II. For ages 10 through adult.
