This book is about Tally who is going to become "pretty". Her friend runs away and she must bring her back to become "pretty". The theme of this book is that what seems good in the beginning can actually be bad. The book is very long and has a complex part but is still understandable. In the beginning, it was a little dull, however, the middle and the conclusion were good. I would recommend this book for 9th graders becasue they can fully understand this complex book.
