Petey is the story of a boy born with cerebral palsy during the Great Depression. His parents struggle to care for him until sadly, they have to place him in a facility. The doctors there diagnose him as an idiot and place him in his bed. Although his mind is perfect he is trapped inside a body which does not work for him.
