This book is first in the series, Suddenly Supernatural. It is about a seventh grade girl whose mother is a medium. When Kat turns thirteen, she finds herself seeing spirits. Namely, a seventeen-year-old flutist that needs help 'moving on'. The book is suspenseful while also mentioning the hardships of middle school. I think this book would interest female seventh-graders, especially if they like reading about the supernatural.
