Hot, Sour, Salty, Sweet by Herri L. Smith

This book is about a girl named Ana Shen growing up, graduating from high school and having to deal with cultural differences. The dad of the Japanese boy she liked insulted her family. Her grandmothers don't get along because one is Chinese while the other is African American. They don't get along because they compete to see whos cooking is better and the better grandma. I recommend this book to girls ages 10 and up.
